Manchester based. UK wide. Built and supported by real people who answer their own phone.
Your business may not need more software. It needs fewer gaps
Customers reach you by phone, by form, by email and by chat. From there the information gets copied between inboxes, spreadsheets, calendars and separate apps, usually by somebody who was hired to do something else. That copying is where the money goes.
- Calls go unanswered because everybody is doing the actual work.
- Forms arrive without the details you need to price anything.
- Quotes are sent and then nobody follows them up.
- Two people each assume the other one owns the next action.
- Customers chase you for updates you could have sent automatically.
- Finished jobs never turn into a review or repeat work.
- And the same admin gets done by hand, every week, forever.
None of that is a discipline problem. It is what happens when the steps of a business are not joined up, and it gets worse exactly when you get busier.

Built inside a real service business, because we needed it first
We did not start with a theory about how small businesses should operate. Manchester PC is a repair company. We are office based, we collect and return, and we have a bench with other people's broken things on it. For years we ran it the way most small firms do: working flat out and quietly losing work around the edges.
The uncomfortable moment came when we measured ourselves properly. Calls were ringing out while both of us had our hands full. Quotes went out and then sat there because chasing felt awkward. We rang nineteen open quotes one afternoon out of curiosity and won not a single one of them. All that work, the diagnosis, the pricing, the writing up, earned nothing because the follow-up came too late.
So we built the system we needed, and then spent years living inside it, sanding off every rough edge, because we were our own angriest customer. The phone gets answered now. Quotes chase themselves. Supplier invoices read themselves into the accounts. Our own AI receptionist takes calls on our own number for our own customers, and we listen back to the recordings.
That is the whole of our claim, and it is why this website exists. Everything we offer another business is something running in ours today. When we set up missed-call recovery for a plumber, we are configuring the same thing that catches our own missed calls tonight.
We are not a marketing agency that discovered AI last year. We are a repair company that got tired of losing work it had already earned.
Read the whole storyThe honest bit about AI
Every company in this space is now an AI company. It is worth saying plainly what we do with it and where we deliberately do not.
Every piece of AI in our business works inside one rule we set early and have never broken: AI drafts, people decide. The quotes it prepares are confirmed by somebody who knows what a fair price is. The articles it writes are read and approved before anyone sees them. Our receptionist hands a call to a person the moment the conversation needs one.
We run it this way because we have watched, daily and up close, exactly what this technology is good at and where it falls over. It is superb at speed, structure, memory and never getting bored. It is genuinely poor at judgement, taste and knowing when it is wrong, and it is confidently wrong in ways that will embarrass you in front of a customer if you let it run unsupervised.
So we put it where it is strong and keep people where people are strong. Some of our workflows are heavily automated. Some are mostly human with AI preparing the ground. A few we tried, watched carefully, and pulled back from because the results were not good enough for a business with a reputation to protect.
If a company tells you AI will run your whole business hands-free, they are describing something they have never actually operated. The operating, not the demo, is the thing we are really selling.
That includes being honest about results. We do not quote average time savings, because we do not yet have measured client evidence to stand them up, and borrowing somebody else's survey to fill the gap would be exactly the sort of thing this section is complaining about. When we have our own numbers, we will publish them with the working shown.
Where the money actually leaks in a small business
It does not leak where people look for it. We know because we went looking in our own accounts and found almost nothing, then went looking in the gaps and found a great deal.
It does not leak on the workbench. In most small firms the actual work is good, and the owner knows it is good, which is part of why the problem is so hard to see. It does not leak in the accounts either. Those balance, and an accountant has usually been over them.
It leaks in the space between things. Between the call and the answer. Between the quote and the follow-up. Between a finished job and the review that never got asked for. Between the customer who would happily come back and the business that never wrote to them again.
Every one of those gaps is money you already earned, walking out of the door in silence. No invoice records it. Nothing appears in the accounts under "calls we did not answer". Which is precisely why nobody fixes it, because the leak is invisible unless you go looking with instruments.
The invisible ones are the expensive ones
A customer who complains is a gift, because at least you know. The ones that cost you are the people who rang, got no answer, and quietly booked somebody else. They do not ring back to tell you what happened. They simply never appear in your business at all.
The same is true of a contact form that has silently stopped sending, or a quote that went to an email address with a typo in it. No error, no complaint, no trace.
It gets worse as you get better
This is the part that catches people out. The more you spend on being findable, the more enquiries arrive, and the more of them hit the same unanswered phone. We have watched businesses double their enquiry volume and barely move their booked work, because the constraint was never the marketing.
Fixing capture before spending more on traffic is nearly always the right order, and it is nearly always the opposite of what people do.

One platform, configured around your business
You do not have to buy every part. We switch on what your company needs today and add more when there is a clear reason.
Underneath all of it is one system rather than seven subscriptions that do not talk to each other. Lead records and customer history. Quote stages and follow-ups. Call summaries and website conversations. Email and SMS. Job workflows, calendars and task boards. Newsletters and campaigns. Support tickets, time tracking, analytics and accounting integrations.
The important part is that you are not expected to configure any of it yourself. An empty CRM is not a solution, it is a project somebody has handed you, and that is where most small business software purchases quietly die. We learn how your business works, build the process into the system, and support it after launch.
Platform access is included with connected services from £79 a month. We do not sell it as software on its own, because software without configuration is how this goes wrong, and we would rather lose that sale than watch it fail in three months.
What working with us is actually like
Worth setting expectations, because the way small technology projects usually go is not something anybody enjoys.
We will talk you out of things
Not as a sales technique. If your enquiry volume does not justify a system, or the thing you were about to buy solves a problem you do not have, we will say so on the first call. We have ended conversations by recommending a change that cost nothing, and we would rather do that than have somebody cancel in month four.
The corollary is that when we do say something is worth doing, it means something.
You get a working thing, not a login
Every setup fee on this site covers configuration: learning how your business runs and building that into the system before you touch it. Handing over empty software with a tutorial video is the single most common way these projects fail, and it fails in a way that gets blamed on the customer.
That is also why we are not the cheapest. The software is the easy part.
Small enough that you know who you are ringing
You will be dealing with the people who built the thing. There is no account manager layer, no ticket portal, and no support tier that depends on which package you bought. That is only possible because we are small, and we would rather say that plainly than imply a scale we do not have.
It also means we are honest about capacity. We limit how many founding clients we take on at once, because doing three properly beats doing eight badly.
You own everything, and you can leave
Your domain, your website, your content, your customer list, your data. All of it stays yours and leaves with you if you go. No minimum terms on the monthly services, no exit fees, and we will help with a handover rather than making it awkward.
We have watched too many small businesses discover at the worst possible moment that their website belongs to a directory or their customer list belongs to a booking platform. We compete by being worth keeping.
Not sure which service comes first?

A short conversation about how work reaches you now and where it is leaking. No slides, no obligation, and we will tell you honestly if the answer is that you do not need us yet. Plenty of these end with a suggestion that costs nothing to implement.

See the assessmentThe questions we get asked before anybody commits
Do we have to replace the software we already use?
Usually not. Most of what we build connects the tools you already pay for rather than replacing them. If something genuinely will not integrate you have a real decision to make, but we would rather work around your existing setup than sell you a migration you did not ask for.
How long before any of this is actually running?
A smart form or a receptionist pilot is days. A full lead follow-up workflow is two to three weeks. A complete quote-to-job build is four to six. Most of that time is agreeing how your process should work rather than building anything, which is why the projects that move fastest are the ones where somebody can spare half an hour a week.
What if it does not work for us?
Everything monthly is month to month, so you stop. The only exception is the founding website offer, which runs for twenty-four months because the build is subsidised, and we state that clearly rather than burying it. Nobody is trapped by a contract they did not understand.
Are you not just reselling somebody else's software?
No. We built the platform for our own repair business and we still run on it daily. That is the reason we can change something when your trade needs it to work differently, rather than raising a ticket with a vendor in another timezone and hoping.
How many customers do you have?
We are early and we say so. Manchester PC runs on all of this every day, and we have our first client businesses outside our own walls. That is also why the founding prices are what they are, and why they will rise once we have measured client results to point at.
Do you only work with businesses in Manchester?
No, we work across the UK. Almost everything is delivered remotely, and we are happy to come to you if you are within reasonable reach. Being Manchester based matters mostly because it means there is a real address and a real workshop behind the website.
